GRW Funding Growth Program for Small Businesses

The MWAE funding program GRW-G Growth Program for Small Businesses supports small commercial businesses, including the tourism industry, provided they meet the primary effect requirement and are not excluded from funding due to their industry. The primary effect requirement is fulfilled if more than 50% of the turnover is regularly provided interregionally at the business premises. The Growth Program for Small Businesses supports:

• Start-ups
• Tourism projects
• Production companies
• Service companies
• Craft businesses

The MWAE funding program GRW-G Growth Program for Small Businesses supports small businesses in the following measures:

• Establishment of business premises
• Expansion of the capacity of a business premises (expansion),
• Takeover of a closed or threatened by closure business premises under market conditions by an independent investor,
• Diversification of a business premises (new additional products),
• Fundamental change of the overall production process of a business premises.

Only projects with eligible expenses of at least €60,000 and up to €2.0 million are funded.

Tourism projects are funded in the areas of health tourism in officially recognized spa and resort locations, cycling and water tourism, as well as projects that contribute to the development of innovative or to the complement of existing tourist products.

The funding of relocation investments from Berlin to Brandenburg is generally not possible.

A partial subsidy is granted for eligible expenses. You can choose between a capital-related and a wage-related subsidy.

Maximum subsidy rates
In D-funding areas, the subsidy can be up to a maximum rate of 20% for small businesses. In C-funding areas, the subsidy can be up to a maximum rate of 35%. In the C-funding areas bordering Poland, an additional 10% can be granted.

Other grants are taken into account in the subsidy rate.
