Brandenburg Innovation Voucher (BIG)

Small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular of the commercial sector (including craftsmen), with a business location in the state of Brandenburg.

Promotion of projects that strengthen the innovation capacity of SMEs including craft businesses:

• External scientific consulting/investigations prior to the development of innovative products, services or process innovation (small BIG Transfer)
• External implementation-oriented R&D activities for the design of existing products and processes up to market maturity (large BIG Transfer)
• Short-term implementable R&D projects in the phases of industrial research and/or experimental development (BIG-R&D)
• Utilization of a consulting service to support the application for innovation programs of the EU (BIG-EU)
• Digitalization projects (consulting, implementation and training)

• Small BIG-Transfer | Full financing (100%), max. €5,000, project duration up to 6 months (only once and only applicable upon one contact between the company and a research institution)
• Large BIG-Transfer | Partial financing (50%), max. €15,000, project duration up to 6 months (multiple times, but at most once within 12 months applicable)
• BIG-R&D Partial financing (50%), max. €100,000, project duration up to 2 years (a re-application is possible after the exploitation of the project results of the previous funding)
• BIG-EU Partial financing (50%), max. €8,000 or as lead partner max. €16,000, project duration up to 12 months
• BIG-Digital Partial financing (50%), max. €50,000 each for the module Consultancy and Training and max. €500,000 for the module Implementation. Project duration up to 6 months for the modules Consultancy and Training and up to 36 months for the module Implementation.
